What Black Friday Flight Deals Looked Like Last Year
Airline offers in 2025 were booked from about November into early December, with travel running into 2026. Delta advertised up to $250 off flight and hotel packages for SkyMiles members using code SMBF2025. American Airlines had domestic one-way fares under $100 or package savings.
JetBlue offered up to $1,000 off flight and hotel or cruise packages. Spirit listed low one-way fares of about $25 to $30, and United ran miles sales or low fares. Expedia pushed flight and hotel bundles.
Details for 2026 flight sales had not been confirmed as of late October. Some early-2026 package promotions were reported, but no Black Friday specifics.
How To Pick The Right Flight Deal
The cheapest listed fare is not always the cheapest trip. Compare these points across carriers.
| Factor | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Fare class | Basic economy may block seat choice and carry-ons. |
| Bags and seats | Low-cost carriers charge extra for both. |
| Travel window | Sale fares often cover specific months only. |
| Promo codes | Some discounts need a code or membership. |
| Packages | Bundled savings may require buying a hotel too. |
Price your exact itinerary with bags included on two or three airlines. Be flexible on departure day when you can, since the cheapest day is often midweek.
When Do Flight Deals Drop?
Black Friday is November 27, 2026, with Cyber Monday on November 30. Airlines in 2025 launched sales in the days around Thanksgiving and kept some running into early December, so expect something similar this year, though no airline has confirmed 2026 dates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do airlines really discount flights on Black Friday?
Last year several airlines ran sales, including low one-way fares and package discounts, though many required codes, membership or specific travel months.
Are Black Friday fares basic economy?
Some are. Check the fare class, because basic economy can restrict seat selection and carry-on bags.
Should I book a flight on Black Friday or wait?
That depends on the route and dates. Compare the sale fare with the usual fare for the same trip before you commit.
Have 2026 flight deals been announced?
Not for Black Friday as of late October 2026.
