Black Friday Gun And Hunting Deals

Hunting retailers save their biggest markdowns for firearms and optics, but the legal steps around a gun purchase do not change just because it is Black Friday.

Black Friday 2026 offers for this page are added as retailers announce them. Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026.

What Black Friday Gun And Hunting Deals Looked Like Last Year

Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops set the pace in 2025, with online sales starting around November 27, in-store sales on November 28, and offers running to about December 1. Firearms and shotguns carried discounts of roughly $150 to $300 on models from Winchester, Ruger, Savage and CZ. One example was $200 off a Winchester SX4.

Optics were marked down too, with binoculars and rangefinders from Leupold and Vortex coming in $50 to $300 lower. A Cabela's gun safe was $300 off. Apparel, trail cameras, bows, crossbows and ammunition saw cuts of about 10% to 30%, and some hunting gear reached 25% to 50% off. Academy Sports also ran a Black Friday event.

No 2026 gun or hunting offers had been found as of late October.

How To Pick The Right Gun Or Hunting Deal

Firearms, ammunition and accessories each come with different rules. Understand them before you plan around a doorbuster.

ItemWhat To Check
FirearmsBackground check, eligibility and local laws apply; some sales are in-store only.
AmmunitionPercent-off deals often have purchase limits.
OpticsCompare magnification and objective size, not just the price cut.
Gun safesCheck capacity and fire rating against what you own.
Club-member dealsSome prices require a rewards or club account.

Doorbuster stock is limited, so a model that is on sale may sell out within hours. Decide on two or three acceptable alternatives before the sale starts.

When Do Gun And Hunting Deals Drop?

Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, with Thanksgiving on November 26 and Cyber Monday on November 30. Last year's main hunting retailer sales opened online on Thanksgiving week and ran through the weekend to roughly December 1, so a similar schedule is likely. No 2026 dates have been confirmed.

Amazon has not announced its 2026 Black Friday dates, and Amazon does not price-match competitors, so compare retailer prices yourself.
