What Did Home Chef Offer Last Black Friday?
For Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025, Home Chef offered new customers up to 15 free or easy-prep meals across the first five boxes. That worked out to roughly 50% off the first box with free shipping on it, about 17% off later boxes during the promo period, and a free dessert or extra item for the life of the subscription.
One reported code was HCBFCMAFF, giving $4.99 per serving and free shipping on the first order. The promotions ran around late November into early December 2025, and the offers were for new subscribers, with no exclusions noted beyond standard terms.
Because skip and cancel cutoffs typically fall on Friday, a deal started over a holiday weekend still needs a calendar reminder.
How To Pick The Right Home Chef Deal
Meal kit promotions look similar on the surface but differ in how long the discount lasts.
- First box versus later boxes. A deep first-box discount fades quickly. Check what boxes two through five cost.
- Per-serving price. Compare the per-serving figure after the discount, not the headline percentage.
- Shipping. Free shipping on the first box is common, but check what shipping costs afterward.
- Cancellation. Home Chef lets you skip, pause or cancel anytime with no penalty, with the cutoff typically on Friday.
- Coverage. Delivery is weekly to continental US addresses only.
Do a simple three-box calculation. Add up the discounted first box, the next box at the lower rate and any later boxes at full price, then divide by the servings. That figure is the honest cost of the promotion, and it tells you whether the service still makes sense after the intro period ends.
When Do Home Chef Deals Drop?
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, with Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26 and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. Home Chef has not announced 2026 deals. Last year's promotions ran late in November and into December, so that is the window to watch if the pattern repeats.
Set a reminder to skip or cancel before your second week if you only want the intro price. Other meal kit offers sit on our meal kit deals page.
