What Did Ancestry Offer Last Black Friday?

Last year, Ancestry's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale took 50% off 6- and 12-month gift memberships. Those were for new gifts only, non-renewing, and self-gifting was allowed. AncestryDNA kits went as low as $29, from $99, and bundles of DNA plus membership were discounted up to 80%. The sale ran roughly November 20 to December 2, 2025, with the gift deal ending around 10 am ET on December 2.

Gift memberships were one-time and could be scheduled for later activation. Renewals and current subscriptions were excluded, and DNA kits and bundles carried the deepest discounts.

How To Pick The Right Ancestry Deal

Decide whether you need records, DNA or both. A membership gives access to family-tree records but does not test your DNA. A kit tests your DNA but gives limited record access unless paired with a membership, which is why the bundles were the deepest discount.

• Gift membership. Non-renewing, so there is no surprise charge later.
• DNA kit. Cheapest as a standalone at last year's price.
• Bundle. Best if you want both from the start.

When Do Ancestry Deals Drop?

Black Friday 2026 lands on Friday, November 27, with Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26 and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. Ancestry has not announced 2026 deals. Last year's sale began around November 20, so that is the date to check against.
