Jellycat Black Friday Deals

Which Jellycat Should You Buy?

The line splits into two moods. Amuseables are the silly ones: food and objects like the Bagel, Peanut, Boiled Egg Happy, Birthday Cake, Coffee Cup and Rene Waffle. They suit adults, desks and dorm rooms. The classic animals, such as Bashful Turtle, Bartholomew Bear, Jack the cat, Chip Seagull and Ricky Rain Frog, are the cuddle-first choice, and the Blossom Bunny is the soft gift for new babies and nurseries.

• Gifts for adults: Amuseables.
• Gifts for kids: classic animals.
• New baby: Blossom Bunny.

Size matters more than most buyers expect, so check the inches or centimeters in the title. A 5.5 inch Coffee Cup and a 12 inch Turtle are very different gifts. Jellycat characters can retire, so a design on the page now may not come back.

For a first Jellycat, a medium animal like the Bartholomew Bear is the safe pick. For an adult gift, a food character is more likely to get a laugh. Smaller sizes are cheaper and ship easily, but the medium sizes feel most like a proper plush.
